Ultrasound is a painless exam using soundwaves to capture images of the abdomen, breast, male and female reproductive systems, kidneys, thyroid, the developing fetus among other uses. We use this technology to find clots or even narrowing of arteries as well as evaluating the heart. There is no radiation and no contrast involved. Your Results
Your sonographer is not permitted to discuss findings with you. If the exam is stat the results will be called to your physician immediately after the exam. Routine exams will be reported to your physician within 24 hours.
